Roseen Giles

Roseen's research has focused on the musical notation of the Becket office, particularly in its melismas. She is currently examining the several Becket sources with adiastamatic notation and comparing them with manuscripts using staffed and pitched notation. Her other research interests include Armenian liturgical music, particularly its intriguingly mysterious notation system, and Eastern Orthodox theology.
